Join us as an HR Business Consultant. In this important role, you’ll use your HR expertise to influence decisions and deliver meaningful people and business outcomes. This is your chance to make an impact by leading on the delivery of major people strategy projects and owning the delivery of complex enterprise level people strategy outcomes, working closely with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs), cross-functional teams, and senior business leaders.
You’ll provide strategic support, targeted analysis, and data insight on complex workforce needs. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in London, Edinburgh, or Manchester, coming into the office at least two days per week. We're offering this position for a period of 9-12 months.
What you’ll do:
- Lead cross-functional projects, support organisation design (OD) and strategic workforce planning (SWP), and use data to understand issues and develop clear recommendations.
- Identify root causes, generate meaningful insights, and influence senior decisions using qualitative and quantitative data.
- Drive continuous improvement, share expertise across the function, and build strong collaboration across teams with clear roles and goals.
- Deliver business-critical projects, turning strategic goals into practical people plans.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders using your business knowledge and consulting skills to guide and challenge project direction.
Furthermore, you’ll be:
- Driving cross-functional collaboration by identifying the right subject matter experts (SMEs) and clarifying how roles, responsibilities, and tasks connect.
- Creating clear, evidence-based recommendations for senior leaders.
- Continuously improving our ways of working and tools.
- Ensuring all activity is planned, tracked, and reviewed regularly.
- Supporting HRBPs and People Directors in defining and delivering SWP by translating business needs into scalable, workforce plans based on data and business needs.
The skills you’ll need:
- Experience in OD, SWP or people change, including data analysis, storytelling, and scenario planning.
- Strong communication and consulting skills, together with strong commercial acumen and proven ability to navigate ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Experience using AI tools responsibly to support insight and decision making.
- A proven track record of working in an agile environment.
- Knowledge of structured problem-solving approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and upskilling.
