You’ll build and maintain a broad network of stakeholders across varying levels of seniority. What you'll do:
- Lead and develop NatWest Group’s climate and sustainability reporting strategy and disclosures, working closely with stakeholders across the bank.
- Drive the implementation of new and evolving reporting standards, provide subject matter expert advice and insight, and ensure Finance and the wider bank are prepared for forthcoming requirements in a controlled manner.
- Work to optimise and automate existing reporting processes, and refine control frameworks in line with current and emerging reporting requirements.
- Effectively manage senior stakeholders, as well as the disclosure production and governance process for a range of key NatWest Group disclosures.
- Be accountable for the control framework operating over climate and sustainability reporting, and lead engagement with both internal and external audit.
- Manage and deliver change, including the implementation of the UK Sustainability Reporting Standards (UK SRS) and key enablers, with support from the Regulatory Change Programme.
- Manage a team of skilled professionals.
The skills you'll need:
- Experience in applying regulatory frameworks and governance, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to influence at a senior level within the bank and across the industry.
- Experience in setting up new structures and processes, working with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong technical knowledge of sustainability reporting requirements in financial services, including the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, UK SRS S1 and S2, and other relevant regulations.
- The ability to influence and challenge thinking at a senior level across a range of conflicting priorities and viewpoints, including engagement with executive and board-level committees.
- The ability to deliver high-quality outcomes in high-pressure environments, meeting tight, defined timescales while maintaining professional standards.
- A keen attention to detail to ensure climate and sustainability data and reporting are robust, well-controlled, and assurance-ready.
- Experience of transformation or delivering significant change within a reporting- or data-centric function.
