ResponsibilitiesWe’re looking for someone to lead, manage and deliver a best in class customer experience, making sure our customers receive the best banking solutions for their needs. Sitting within our Sales team, you’ll be identifying opportunities for new transaction banking business with new and existing clients covering the whole product set from traditional payments to digital products including open banking. This is an opportunity to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the bank, helping you to grow your career and network. Working closely with our product and propositions team, you’ll have an opportunity to engage with our dynamic open banking and innovation teams focused on delivering digital solutions to businesses.
What You’ll DoWith growth at the forefront of your mind, you’ll be managing and delivering against stretching, dynamic business development and business retention financial targets at individual, sector and business level. You’ll achieve this by building a trusted advisor to the bank’s clients and adopting a consultative sales approach. We’ll also look to you to deliver on financial targets linked to key sales campaigns and identify origination opportunities to contribute towards the overall transaction banking business. You’ll be a key member working with the Head of Sales in the strategic development of payments sales model for corporates, and we’ll expect you to coach and develop less experienced members of the team to help them succeed in their roles.
The Skills You’ll NeedWe’re looking for someone with experience in the transaction banking business and knowledge of evolving payments ecosystem with an ability to originate opportunities, lead pitches and maintain client plans. You’ll bring a strong customer focus to this role, along with excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills. You’ll also demonstrate:
- A proven track record in an origination role, where direct accountability for financial targets is a key focus
- Experience in developing business for both new and existing clients, using a sales management framework
- Proven operational risk acumen
- Knowledge of the regulatory agenda in the financial services market
