- In this key role, you’ll oversee the region\’s portfolio to make sure that appropriate credit strategies are in place

What you\’ll do
As a Director Specialist Client Manager, you’ll be leading, coaching and inspiring a team and supporting them to drive a culture of strong risk management, leading to sustainable client growth and minimal impairments. You’ll manage recruitment, headcount, remuneration and cost budgets relating to your team, and you’ll build a supportive and inclusive workforce.
Additionally, you’ll:
- Protect the bank’s capital and reputation, ensuring strong and diligent risk management at all times
- Support your team to maintain facilities to meet client needs, drive sustainable portfolio growth and provide strong client risk management
- Manage the team’s capability to own credit delivery and credit stewardship for cases
- Oversee the correct adherence of processes and escalation of any arising issues
- Develop and maintain an effective strategic network across the leadership of Invoice Finance Risk teams and other internal stakeholders
The skills you\’ll need
You’ll need to have a proven track record in managing and leading teams of multi-skilled professionals, with experience of recruitment, development, resource planning and performance management. We’ll also expect you to have a track record of strategic thinking and building business intelligence, by working collaboratively and engaging with a variety of leaders and teams.
It will also be essential for you to have the Chartered Banker diploma in Lending Skills.
Additionally, we’ll look for you to have:
- Expert knowledge of working capital sales policies and processes
- Detailed knowledge of the external working capital marketplace, alternative providers and other sources of financial support available to our clients
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across a range of internal stakeholders and external professional advisers
- Excellent team working skills with the ability to contribute strongly to regional and national leadership teams
- Highly developed influencing negotiation, organisational and planning skills
