What you'll do

As a Cyber Security Apprentice, you’ll learn how to assess, triage, and respond to Data Loss Prevention (DLP) alerts and determine what level of risk they represent to the bank. You’ll work closely with experienced cyber security professionals, helping to protect sensitive information and support the business in managing and responding to DLP alerts.

Day-to-day You’ll Be:

  • Monitoring and analysing DLP alerts to understand potential data risks
  • Running and reviewing reports to identify trends, incidents, and recurring issues
  • Supporting the wider business by helping with risk mitigation activities
  • Learning and assisting with the initial triage of DLP alerts to determine whether they are false positives, business-as-usual alerts or high‑risk security incidents
  • Escalating high‑risk alerts to senior team members where appropriate
  • Building knowledge of cyber security processes, policies, and tools

Our apprenticeships are designed for people new to the subject. If you already have substantial experience or qualifications in this area, you may be over‑qualified. Please check our FAQs before applying. You’ll also need to have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme. Unfortunately, this role does not meet Skilled Worker Visa requirements.
