Join us as a Consumer Affairs – Digital PR Manager. We’ll look to you to build our capabilities and accelerate our outreach in digital PR, an emerging and increasingly important discipline within Corporate Affairs.
As a Digital PR Manager, you’ll be working with the Consumer Affairs Lead to co-create, manage and track all digital PR campaigns. You’ll be joining an exciting and fast-paced area of the bank, where you can expect great exposure while making sure digital PR is a visible part of our reporting as we build our capability.
What you'll do:
- Working closely with digital PR experts in our integrated marketing agency, you’ll help to devise and deliver earned media campaigns that amplify key pillars of our marketing strategy and support implementation through national, personal finance and consumer lifestyle media channels.
- You’ll be supporting the Consumer Affairs Lead to define and deliver our annual digital PR KPIs, as well as providing hands-on media relations support for digital PR campaigns, leveraging the media contacts you own to deliver high quality earned media coverage for the brand.
- Acting as a partner to the SEO agency within the integrated marketing agency, helping them to extend their campaigns into national, personal finance and consumer lifestyle media and managing any reputational risks.
- Coordinating the digital PR outreach on earned media campaigns by working with our integrated marketing agency to support and shape ideation, review media materials, sell in stories to the media, and report media coverage.
- Building a network of internal stakeholders at NatWest to help identify newsworthy content for the media and coordinate approvals – working closely with franchise media team.
- Developing and maintaining your own network of media contacts, so that you can add value to the integrated marketing agency’s outreach and deliver better outcomes for the brand.
- Sharing success by contributing to the regular reporting rhythms for both Corporate Affairs and Marketing to make sure we track progress for a new discipline.
- Staying on top of emerging consumer trends through your media relationships and social listening.
The skills you'll need:
- A keen interest in consumer trends and using new technologies to support acquisition through digital PR at the top of the funnel.
- A demonstrable understanding of how PR drives SEO, with experience of executing PR for SEO campaigns for a digital-first business in-house or at an agency.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to turn data into media-friendly insights.
- Strong national, personal finance and consumer lifestyle media contacts.
- Some experience of using domain analysis tools for reporting.
- A collaborative approach to facilitate working in a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders and agencies.
- To be detail oriented and highly organised, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced and changeable environment.
