Join us as a Discretionary and Advisory Portfolio Service Offering Manager. We’ll look to you to contribute to the strategic development and delivery of the IP&S product offer within the Client Solutions function, shaping a compelling investment proposition that meets the evolving needs of all client segments across our Group.
You’ll play a leading role shaping our approach to discretionary and advisory product management, thinking end to end about the needs of our customers, and designing our proposition. You’ll operate as a recognised expert, advising senior stakeholders on complex investment and propositional matters. This is a chance to own the delivery of the business plan for the advisory and discretionary offering, including oversight of key performance indicators and strategic milestones.
What you’ll do:
- Help formulate and lead the strategic direction of the IP&S discretionary and advisory portfolio services, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and client needs.
- Lead on critical design choices across product ranges, portfolio solutions, and risk profiles, ensuring differentiation and competitiveness.
- Provide expert advice on complex investment and propositional issues, influencing senior stakeholders and shaping strategic decisions.
- Engage with Offering team colleagues to drive development and iteration of the entire IP&S product suite, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver major change initiatives.
- Lead complex, strategic projects across the IP&S platform, including product innovation and market expansion.
- Act as a recognised industry expert, representing our Group in external forums where appropriate.
- Drive continuous improvement through benchmarking, competitor analysis, and client insight, ensuring the proposition remains market-leading.
- Collaborate with FLOD or SLOD and other control functions to ensure robust governance and risk management across the offering lifecycle.
- Ensure strategic and operational integration of activities across client segments and business units, working closely with other managers and stakeholders.
- Manage a team of specialists responsible for delivering key components of the investment proposition and platform strategy.
The skills you’ll need:
- Deep knowledge of portfolio management services within wealth management, with the ability to shape and influence strategic direction.
- Strong understanding of the UK Wealth Management market, including regulatory frameworks, competitive dynamics, and emerging trends.
- Proven experience leading the product management/development of discretionary and advisory investment propositions across multiple client segments.
- The ability to advise senior stakeholders on complex investment and propositional matters, acting as a recognised subject matter expert.
- Experience in formulating and delivering strategic business plans, including collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and overseeing large-scale initiatives.
- A strong track record of working across diverse teams and functions to ensure strategic and operational integration of investment offerings.
