Join us as a Bid Manager within our CIB, Transaction Services Team. You’ll be at the heart of leading and supporting the bank’s response to incoming banking and cash management tenders, working across a diverse stakeholder network. You’ll support the entire bidding process, from initiation to execution, to meet customers' ongoing banking needs, winning and retaining corporate relationships for NatWest Group.
In addition, the role will involve supporting Content Managers with new, updated content received from deals supported. This ensures our frontline colleagues and customers have up-to-date, innovative and thought-provoking product and propositional collateral alongside high-value thought leadership. The role will develop your knowledge, skills and experience across our Transaction Banking, Payments and Innovation products and propositions, building collaborative relationships across a wide range of key stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
- Manage, coordinate and produce high-quality bid responses end-to-end, ensuring all inputs are aligned, compelling and delivered to deadline.
- Work closely with colleagues across Commercial and Institutional to coordinate information from product specialists and relationship teams to ensure we deliver a consistently high level of quality of output.
- Scan the external market evaluating competitors' strengths and weaknesses to increase our successful bid winning ratio.
- Support the Content Managers with the development of new content and collateral.
- Act on and share insights, ensuring highly effective processes are in place to share valuable knowledge with senior stakeholders on tenders completed and expected.
- Ensure risk management and business efficiency remain a key priority and embedded in everyday activity.
- Identify strategies and partners that can add value to our current and future propositions.
- Actively look at ways to improve and innovate our suite of collateral to continually evolve our response and participation in tenders and pitches.
The skills you’ll need:
- Strong leadership by implementing ideas and influencing others to follow.
- Understanding of the Transaction Banking proposition relevant environment, as well as a wide understanding of the global marketplace.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines within a busy and at times, challenging environment.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Transaction Banking products and services, including Payments for large Commercial and Corporate businesses.
- The ability to provide thought leadership around current and future drivers.
- A solid track record of developing and cultivating client and strategic relationships.
- The ability to work and influence at senior levels, and gain trust is key to this role.
- A good understanding of the different areas of the industry that impact on our clients and partners.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maximise resources and motivate others.
- Experience of working in a bid team environment is preferable but not essential.
