On behalf of Nat West, we are looking for a number of Strategy and Business Consultants for an initial 6-month contract based in London. It will be a hybrid model.
Purpose of the role
You will play a key role in driving the successful delivery of Nat West's revenue synergy programme following the acquisition of Evelyn Partners.
Embedded within one or more strategic workstreams, the role provides independent challenge, drives cross-functional alignment, manages dependencies and delivery risks, and ensures initiatives remain focused on achieving measurable commercial and client outcomes.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, Finance and programme leadership, the role supports value creation, governance and execution across the programme.
What you'll do
- Provide independent challenge to workstream plans, delivery roadmaps and assumptions to maximise value creation and ensure programme objectives are achieved.
- Identify, manage and elevate delivery risks, dependencies, resource constraints and decision bottlenecks across workstreams.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Wealth Management, Retail Banking, Finance and Transformation to drive alignment and execution.
- Identify opportunities to accelerate revenue delivery and enhance commercial outcomes.
- Support the development of business cases, KPIs, value tracking and financial benefit estimates.
- Collaborate with Finance to monitor workstream performance against financial targets and revenue commitments.
- Prepare high-quality governance materials, executive updates and decision papers for senior leadership.
- Ensure delivery remains focused on client outcomes, commercial priorities and successful transition into business-as-usual operations.
The skills you'll need
- Relevant experience across management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, business transformation, wealth management product leadership, or other comparable strategic and transformation roles.
- Experience in complex, cross-functional programmes, including operating in matrix environments, engaging with senior workstream members, facilitating workstream discussions, identifying and analysing dependencies
- Autonomy and drive: marked ability to take the initiative, propose relevant ideas unprompted, action next steps aligned with the priorities and goals of the workstream
- Curious mind, with ability to ramp up quickly in a new environment and a strong focus on understanding the business environment we operate in, the bank's offering across customer propositions and journeys and we offer
- Strong analytical skills in structuring business problems, formulating relevant assumptions and developing work plans
- Business senses, ability to translate business objectives into practical delivery priorities
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders, help frame issues, options and decision points clearly, while connecting insights and delivery plans across workstreams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive material and briefings with clear narratives, fact-based analysis and decision-oriented recommendations
