On behalf of NatWest, AMS are seeking an Administration Officer working within the Trustee and Depositary department in NatWest's Edinburgh Office in Gogarburn. As part of this role, you will be undertaking administrative activities as allocated by Team Manager ensuring that work is completed in line with key performance indicators and applicable procedures and policies.
What the role will involve:
- Reconcile Scheme Valuations and Audits
- Accountable for the issuance of audit certification and valuation agreements
- Identify and raise breaches on pricing regulations to the risk team
- Involvement in and generation of continuous improvement ideas
- Prepare and ensure all payments are undertaken in accordance with RBS Group Payment Authorisation Policy
- Issue and cancellation of units
- Validation of cash balances and breaks within fund accountant data and reconcile with custodian bank account positions
- Daily controls to ensure completion of daily cash monitoring, complex manual cash monitoring and derivatives record keeping
- Maintain non custody records in custody database inclusive of 4 eye check on all database transactions
- Raise queries, respond, and own, monitoring trends and issues for escalation when required
- Reconciliations - manual currency recs, distribution and unclaimed accounts, suspense accounts, cash management accounts
What we can offer:
- Full Time Role - 35 Hours Per Week
- Shift times will be Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
- Pay Rate is Β£14.29 per hour
- Office based initially until approved to work on a hybrid schedule. You may work in office until at least 3-4 months and will be dependent on manager approval. Hybrid working schedule is 2 days in office per week.
- Start Date - March 2026 (Pre engagement vetting dependent)
- 6 month temporary contract with the possibility of extension or permanency. Permanent opportunities are dependent on performance and business resource.
Experience required:
- Strong Administrative skills - Ideally from an accounts or financial services background
- Excellent computer literacy skills
- Good interpersonal skills to enable you to work as part of a team and coach others
- Good attention to detail to ensure quality of work does not fall below expected levels of accuracy
- Numeracy and keyboard skills, knowledge of MS Office applications
- Knowledge or experience on fund accounting/asset management industry would be advantageous but not essential
