Join us as a Product Owner, BaaS Client & Platform Experience.
What you'll do:
- Join our client and developer mission to enable our clients to power their propositions via our platform capabilities, intuitive APIs and access to documentation.
- Champion BaaS clients by deeply understanding their needs and how internal teams support them and their customers throughout their lifecycle.
- Shape and execute a roadmap for your area in partnership with your Product Manager, ensuring that there is alignment to the mission's vision and company's objectives.
- Collaborate with proposition owning missions/squads (e.g. Deposits, Lending, POS Lending) to understand how platform services (e.g. authentication; registration; documentation etc) can delight customers in our core product journeys.
- Build a robust domain view through research, understanding client needs, assessment of competitors, creating feedback loops, and be the go-to person for information and progress updates.
- Translate complex initiatives into high quality epics and user stories, prioritising the backlog based on client value and business objectives.
- Work with your Engineering Manager to set objectives for sprints ensuring the quality of output, whilst balancing a view across risk, regulatory compliance, business, client and good customer outcomes.
- Embed a developer experience mindset and ‘API & Docs First’ approach across the SDLC by influencing internal processes, ways of working and educating teams on the importance of developer experience.
- Establish, monitor and evolve the ability to monitor and track the performance of your domain, using these insights to identify initiatives/opportunities for your roadmap and the wider organisation.
The skills you'll need:
- You'll need proven experience managing the full lifecycle of B2B or B2B2C API products, ideally within a successful BaaS, SaaS or embedded finance environment.
- Have experience leading successful B2B or B2B2C products in the capacity of a product ownership role in an API led technology organisation through all stages of the product life cycle.
- Have a deep understanding of API and backend service development allowing you to collaborate effectively with engineering colleagues on complex architecture and translate technical concepts for stakeholders.
- Have been responsible for or contributed to a high-quality developer portal, ensuring documentation and onboarding tools that prioritise time to live and self-serve.
- Skilled in using product analytics (e.g. API usage, health metrics etc) to prioritise the backlog and drive measurable client (and their customers) outcomes.
- Have a proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities whilst working in detailed, sometimes ambiguous, and complex topics.
- Bring a solid ability to build trust and manage relationships across teams, peers, colleagues and stakeholders to achieve good outcomes.
