Overview

The Global Business Controller Otometrics is a highly visible finance leadership role combining international accounting oversight with strategic financial partnership to the Hearing & Balance business. This role partners closely with senior business leaders to drive financial performance while ensuring strong accounting governance, statutory compliance, and audit management across Europe and Asia. The ideal candidate brings both technical accounting depth and the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hearing & Balance Finance Business Partner: Serve as the primary finance partner to the Hearing & Balance leadership team, providing insight and decision support across revenue, gross margin, and operating expenses. Lead financial analysis and performance management, including monthly results, forecasts, and variance analysis versus plan and prior year. Leadership of the H&B budget, forecast, and strategic planning inputs, ensuring alignment between operational plans and financial outcomes. Support business initiatives and cross‑functional projects (e.g., product launches, cost optimization, strategic investments) with financial modeling and analysis. Drive financial discipline, transparency, and accountability across the H&B organization.
  • Assistant Global Controller Responsibilities: Provide accounting leadership and oversight for international legal entities across Europe and Asia. Ensure compliance with local statutory, regulatory, and reporting requirements, coordinating filings and statutory financial statements. Act as the primary liaison with external auditors for international entities, managing audit planning, execution, and issue resolution. Review key accounting judgments, balance sheet accounts, and close activities to ensure accuracy and consistency with corporate accounting policies. Partner with local finance teams and shared services to promote strong internal controls and standardized close processes. Support the Global Controller on accounting policy implementation, process improvements, and special projects as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including international or multinational environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with statutory reporting, audits, and regulatory requirements across multiple countries.
  • Proven ability to act as a business partner, influencing decision‑making through strong financial insight.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.
  • Experience in manufacturing, medical device, or other regulated industries is a plus.
