The College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) is a leading training provider in natural health, known for our supportive, student‑focused approach.
We’re looking for a confident and organised Credit Controller to join our Finance team at Head Office.
This is not a typical collections role — you’ll work closely with students to manage payments in a supportive, structured way, while maintaining strong financial control.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage student accounts, ensuring payments are up to date
- Contact students by phone and email regarding outstanding balances
- Set up and monitor payment plans, balancing flexibility and financial responsibility
- Process payments and update records accurately in our systems
- Resolve account queries and issues, working with a calm, solution‑focused approach
- Work closely with Sales and Student Support teams to align on student situations
- Keep reports, notes, and records accurate, organised and compliant
Communication & Negotiation
- Confident speaking on the phone about payments
- Able to agree realistic payment plans while maintaining good relationships
- Professional, calm and reassuring in all conversations
Numeracy & Accuracy
- Comfortable working with numbers, balances, and dates
- Strong attention to detail when updating records
Problem Solving
- Able to listen carefully and understand student circumstances
- Resolve payment queries calmly, fairly and within policy
Organisation & Daily Work Skills
- Keep notes, invoices and records accurate and up to date
- Work consistently to deadlines and month‑end cycles
- Comfortable using Excel and office systems
- Persistent and positive, even in challenging conversations
- Professional, supportive, and aligned with CNM’s student‑centred values
What You’ll Need
- Experience in credit control, accounts receivable or finance administration
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to commute daily to East Grinstead (this is a full‑time, office‑based role)
- Right to work in the UK
