Quality Manager | Up to ÂŁ49,000 + Annual Bonus | Selsey, West Sussex
Nature’s Way Foods is a market leader in fresh, healthy food – producing prepared salads, coleslaw, and “food-to-go” products for some of the UK’s biggest supermarkets. With four manufacturing facilities producing over 400m units annually, it’s an exciting time to join us as we continue to grow and invest in our people.
We’re looking for a Quality Manager to join our team in Selsey. In this role, you’ll take ownership of quality and technical functions across the site, ensuring food safety, compliance, and product excellence. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining high standards, managing a team, and working closely with colleagues, suppliers, and customers to deliver safe, high-quality food.
Shift pattern: Panama shift, days only (7am–7pm). You’ll be responsible for one shift rotation, alternating weekends off, and will work closely with the opposite Quality Manager to share workload and drive a strong quality culture across the site.

What you’ll be doing
- Ensuring food safety, technical standards, and customer Codes of Practice are implemented and upheld across the site
- Leading a team of QA Team Leaders and overseeing all QA/QC functions
- Driving food safety and GMP standards through regular factory walks, closing out issues quickly and effectively
- Managing customer complaints, audits, and non-conformance investigations, ensuring timely, accurate responses
- Supporting new product launches by attending feasibility sessions and collaborating with Production & Process Development
- Managing HACCP compliance and auditing schedules
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing your team and wider stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate nutritional and shelf-life data in line with product variations
- Championing a safe workplace through risk assessments, training, and ongoing performance management
- Playing an active role in spotting and reporting any risks relating to modern slavery
About you
- Strong background in quality management within food manufacturing
- Knowledge of HACCP, BRC standards, and customer COPs
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Passionate about food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
