Due to rapid year on year growth, we are currently looking for talented Engineers to join our rapidly growing business in Chichester, West Sussex. Reporting into our Engineering Department Manager & Site Engineering Manager, you will join a team of fantastic Engineers that manage and maintain some of the latest production technology within the food industry.
You will already have:
- Manufacturing experience (desirable)
- A good level of either Electrical or Mechanical knowledge (or both) plus a willingness to train and learn further in these areas
- Relevant engineering qualifications, minimum of level 3 engineering NVQ or equivalent
- Ability to work at pace to complete tasks
- A good team player and likes to work in a collaborative manner
- Ability to communicate engineering matters across all departments when necessary
- Good analytical problem-solving approach and numerical capability
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- IT literate
- Familiar with the use of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day maintenance and improvement of plant, assets, and services
- Effective use of engineering departmental systems and processes
- Ensure all work complies with food and H&S standards
- Completion of PPM tasks and formulation of improved maintenance practices
- Diagnose and repair equipment faults promptly
- Proactively identify and eliminate faulty processes
- Uphold and exceed standards of product quality and GMP
- Play an active role in the shift and be the go-to person on shift
- Be aware of budget and stock control, maintaining shift paperwork
- Ensure buildings, plant & equipment are safe in design & operation
- Complete shift metrics and escalate appropriate action to the engineering manager
