We’re looking for a proactive and driven Machine Operator to join our fast‑paced team at Natures Way Foods. In this hands‑on role, you’ll be at the heart of our production process—ensuring our machinery runs smoothly, customer orders are met to high standards, and safety always comes first.

Shift Pattern

  • Fixed Days or Nights (7 am–7 pm / 7 pm–7 am): 14 days across a 28‑day period, with the following typical pattern: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday.
  • Rotational Days and Nights (7 am–7 pm / 7 pm–7 am): 14 days across a 28‑day period, with the same pattern: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday.
  • Monday–Thursday Night Shifts (Merston site only): Monday to Thursday night shift pattern.

Responsibilities

  • Operate specialized production machinery, ensuring each machine runs effectively and safely at all times.
  • Supervise production operatives and agency staff on site.
  • Ensure health & safety guidelines/procedures are adhered to at all times, reporting near misses and any accidents or incidents when they occur.
  • Ensure customer orders meet high standards of quality.
  • Report any out‑of‑spec products, machinery issues, or non‑conformances to line manager promptly.
