About The Business

We are a fast-growing e-commerce business operating in the health supplements space. With a strong focus on quality, compliance, and customer experience, we work with global suppliers and multiple sales channels. As the business scales, we are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day finance function.

The Role

The Accounts Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our finance operations. This is a hands-on role covering supplier payments, banking, reconciliations, and general finance support. You’ll work closely with the Management Accountant and wider team, supporting accurate financial reporting and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable & Supplier Management
  • Review purchase invoice postings
  • Prepare and execute supplier payments (domestic and international)
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice/payment queries
  • Maintain up-to-date supplier records
  • Banking & Reconciliations
    • Perform daily/weekly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
    • Reconcile payment gateways (e.g. Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, Amazon)
    • Monitor cash balances and flag discrepancies or issues
    • Credit card reconciliations helping drive efficiencies across our various platforms
  • General Accounting Support
    • Support month-end close processes
    • Assist with audit and year-end requests
    • Handle ad hoc finance requests from the wider business
  • Process & Systems
    • Help improve finance processes and controls as the business scales
    • Maintain accurate records within the accounting system
    • Support integration between e-commerce platforms and accounting software

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • Previous experience in an accounts assistant / finance assistant role
    • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
    • Comfortable working with banking platforms and reconciliations
    • Confident using Excel / Google Sheets
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

    Desirable

    • Experience in e-commerce, DTC, or FMCG businesses
    • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Odoo)
    • Experience reconciling payment providers and marketplaces
    • AAT qualification or working towards one

    • Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers
