Social Value Consultant
Location: The role is either fully office-based or mixed working, in the latter case a combination of work from home and attendance in RSK’s Bristol or London offices at least three days per week.
Salary: £30k - £34k (Depending On Experience)

Overview of the Role: Here at Nature Positive, part of the RSK Group, we are currently seeking a Social Value Consultant to join our internal delivery team. The work will be centred around social value, including research, due diligence, reporting, training and stakeholder engagement. The role is full time (40 hours per week) and permanent.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early on in their career in corporate responsibility and social impact who wants hands‑on, varied experience across a global business. You will play a key role in delivering the group’s social value programme, working directly to support RSK businesses to maximise and report their social impact. You’ll have the opportunity to develop skills in stakeholder engagement, reporting and data management.
You won't be expected to arrive with all the answers — you'll receive support and training as you build your expertise, working alongside experienced specialists in a friendly, collaborative team. What you will need is curiosity, a strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in social value and social sustainability.
Key responsibilities
- Engaging with RSK businesses to build understanding and delivery of effective social value reporting
- Coordinating internal training on social value and how to use the Thrive platform to report social value activities.
- Providing strategic and technical guidance on social value to build capability and help RSK businesses maximise their impact.
- Preparation and analysis of qualitative and quantitative social value data in a GDPR‑compliant manner.
- Consolidating social value data for group‑wide reporting, including quarterly and annual social value data reports.
- Collating social value case studies and drafting content for inclusion in group‑wide reporting, including the annual RSK Group sustainability report and annual social value case study report.
- Producing the RSK Group annual social value case study report.
- Supporting wider RSK Group projects as part of its Second Nature strategy
- Supporting broader ESG reporting activities such as Modern Slavery Act (UK and Australia), and delivery of the annual EcoVadis assessment.
- Supporting relevant Nature Positive external client work, where time allows
- Representing the team and company at internal and external events as required.
Qualifications and experience – required:
- BA/BSc qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least one year of relevant experience within a business or advisory context
- An understanding of robust project management requirements, including data management.
- A solid understanding of social sustainability topics and frameworks in the UK and international environment, including the UK Government Social Value Act (2012) and Social Value Model (PPN 002).
- An understanding of broader ESG and sustainability topics as they apply to businesses.
- Experience using a social value platform and framework, such as Thrive and the Impact Evaluation Standard framework or equivalent
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) for analysing and recording data and information and creating engaging and concise reports for diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications and experience – beneficial:
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline
- Familiarity with EcoVadis reporting
- Familiarity with GDPR requirements.
- Training or facilitation experience.
