Position Overview
Our Racing business is responsible for the CSR Racing franchise, including the #1 racing game on mobile, CSR2 and the groundbreaking next installment, CSR3. We are one of the most ambitious, successful, and creatively inclusive studio groups in the world. Based across two locations – London and Bangalore – the team loves welcoming diverse, humble, straightforward and ambitious talent, aspiring for award-winning excellence. Within this role you will work 3 days per week in our London office and the remaining days at home.
As part of the NaturalMotion Analytics team, this role is focused on leveraging data to provide actionable insights to stakeholders in the Racing & Shooter game teams. Analytics collaborate closely with Product & Design in particular to identify opportunities to make great player experiences and drive KPI performance. Analysis topics are varied depending on the release/feature goals and timing in the game development roadmap. We work in an agile (sprint-based) framework, with a focus on fast-paced insights and innovation, rather than academic rigour. There will be opportunities to be involved in projects using machine learning, simulation, & AI to model more complex systems such as the game economy, or predicting player actions/attributes.
What You’ll Do
- Build dashboards to visualise in-game player behaviour and metrics
- Analyse data to understand what drives engagement, retention, & monetisation
- Design telemetry to capture actions across different meta features and game modes
- Segment the playerbase to better understand different player motivations
- Interpret results from A/B tests and support the LiveOps team
- Monitor the live game economy and help optimise currency inflows & outflows
What You Bring
- Experience analysing data across an app’s features, finding insights about what motivates players or customers to keep coming back, or friction that leads to churn
- Knowledge of probability and statistics, to draw conclusions from models & tests
- Data storytelling and visualisation skills to translate granular data into dashboards and presentations for different audiences
- Familiarity with different segmentation methods, to group a population by similar behaviours or attributes
- Exposure to optimising a complex system such as an economy or onboarding flow
