  • Access real training, mentoring, and support toward specialist licences and chartership
  • Work across some of the most exciting ecological and environmental projects in the North of Scotland

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading ecological audits and on-site environmental checks
  • Delivering toolbox talks and guiding contractors with confidence
  • Producing clear, accurate site reports, EMPs, and Species Protection Plans
  • Balancing fieldwork, reporting, and stakeholder communication
  • Working everywhere from remote wild landscapes to active construction sites

What we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years’ experience in ECoW work or ecological consultancy
  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or a related discipline
  • Solid understanding of Scottish/UK environmental legislation
  • CIEEM membership (or working towards it – AEECoW is a bonus)
  • Solid habitat and protected species knowledge
  • Full UK driving licence & access to own vehicle (4x4/off-road experience is a plus)
  • Confident communicator with strong reporting and organisational skills

What’s in it for you:

  • Paid travel – no more unpaid dawn starts
  • Investment in your development, training, and progression
  • Hybrid working and flexible hours
  • Generous holiday allowance + pension
  • Support toward specialist licences and chartered status
  • A genuinely healthy work-life balance

Because you’ll finally get the balance right: meaningful projects, real progression, and a team that values expertise over ego. You’ll be trusted, supported, and given the space to grow – without sacrificing the life you’ve built outside of work.
