We support clients across renewables, infrastructure, and land management with ecological expertise that genuinely shapes better outcomes. We’re looking for an Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) who wants to be part of that.
This isn’t another churn-and-burn site role. It’s your chance to:

- Work across some of the most exciting ecological and environmental projects in the North of Scotland
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading ecological audits and on-site environmental checks
- Delivering toolbox talks and guiding contractors with confidence
- Producing clear, accurate site reports, EMPs, and Species Protection Plans
- Balancing fieldwork, reporting, and stakeholder communication
- Working everywhere from remote wild landscapes to active construction sites
What we’re looking for:
- 4+ years’ experience in ECoW work or ecological consultancy
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or a related discipline
- Solid understanding of Scottish/UK environmental legislation
- CIEEM membership (or working towards it – AEECoW is a bonus)
- Solid habitat and protected species knowledge
- Full UK driving licence & access to own vehicle (4x4/off-road experience is a plus)
- Confident communicator with strong reporting and organisational skills
