This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and supportive Environment Team, playing an important role in protecting wildlife and the environment across Denbighshire. Working closely with the Team Leader and Environment Officers, you will provide essential administrative support that helps the team deliver its regulatory and operational responsibilities.

Your work will include coordinating and collating regulatory compliance information, administering incident response rotas, and ensuring pool vehicles are maintained and available when needed. You will also support procurement processes to help ensure the team has the equipment and safety resources required to carry out its work effectively.

The role offers excellent opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge, with support to gain experience in areas such as evidence collation, database administration and simple permit determination. We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic and proactive individual who enjoys working as part of a committed team and wants to make a meaningful contribution to environmental protection in Denbighshire.

You must hold a full and current UK driving license. As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to the NRW office at the above location and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.

  • Support the integrated delivery of functions by the team and place including collation of complex regulatory compliance and enforcement information, coordination of responses and administration of incident response rotas.
  • Hold or develop a knowledge in processes such as evidence collation, database administration or simple permit determinations that supports the delivery of work by the team or place.
  • Be committed to Natural Resources Wales Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy, together with an understanding of how it operates within the responsibilities of the post.
  • A good understanding of NRW's regulatory remit.

Successful applicants will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) check. Civil Service Pension Scheme offering employer contributions of 28.97% (successful internal staff will remain in their current pension scheme).
