The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.

The role involves providing essential support across the Wellbeing, Health and Safety (WH&S) and Training Teams, contributing to the effective delivery of corporate functions. Working closely with directorate leads and colleagues within the WH&S and Training teams, you will deliver targeted technical support through activities such as data extraction and retrieval, database management, data collation and analysis, and the production and development of management reports. You will also support the maintenance and effective use of People Management systems such as Assess NET, People safe and job evaluation tools, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and reliable.

As part of a directorate facing team, you will work with senior managers and colleagues to help ensure corporate strategies and plans are implemented effectively, supporting informed decision making and the smooth delivery of people related services across NRW. As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to the nearest NRW office to your home and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.

What you will do:

  • Work with team members and colleagues in the WH&S and Training teams to ensure we meet our corporate strategy and business plan objectives.
  • Provide support in technical administrative tasks.
  • Investigate any problems identified and take appropriate action as directed to maintain system integrity.
  • Help develop management information reports and dashboards.
  • Implement changes to information to reflect organisational changes.
  • Amend existing reports to ensure they are still appropriate for the changing needs of the business.
  • Handle data sensitively.
  • Maintain effective relationships with suppliers of all relevant data and information systems.
  • Maintain and update procedures and control documentation.
  • Undertake health and safety duties and responsibilities appropriate to the post.

Your qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills:

In your application and interview you will be asked to demonstrate the following skills and experience using the STAR method:

  • Experience of working within a WH&S and/or Training work environment.
  • Experience of undertaking tasks such as involving data manipulation and analysis and supporting senior staff and leadership teams in providing data manipulation and analysis.
  • Ability in using information technology and HR systems with intermediate to advanced knowledge and skills with MS Excel.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Good written and verbal skills.

Welsh Language level requirements:

  • Essential: Level A1 - Entry level Welsh language levels.

Additional Information:

Successful applicants will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) check. Appointments are normally made within 4 to 8 weeks of the closing date.
