The role Are you an HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, solving people challenges and helping managers get the best from their teams? We are looking for a proactive and customer focused Human Resources Officer to join our People Team.
In this role, you will provide expert advice and support across a wide range of people matters, helping managers and employees navigate HR policies, procedures and employment legislation with confidence. You will play a key role in supporting employee relations casework, delivering people initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve the experience of our workforce. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working collaboratively, influencing positive outcomes and making a real difference across the organisation.

As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to the nearest NRW office to your home and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.

Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a broad range of people matters. Advise and coach managers in the application of people policies, procedures and best practice, building confidence and capability in people management. Facilitate and support employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance, ill health and sickness absence cases. Develop productive working relationships with stakeholders, building trust and confidence across the organisation. Analyse and interpret people data and information to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement. Support the delivery of people initiatives and projects that contribute to organisational priorities and workforce objectives. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the People Team to ensure a consistent and high quality service. Identify emerging people issues and recommend appropriate interventions or solutions. Deliver a professional, responsive and customer focused HR service. Your qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills In your application and interview you will be asked to demonstrate the following skills and experience using the STAR method. CIPD Level 5 qualification, Associate CIPD membership, or equivalent professional HR qualification and experience. Experience of providing professional HR advice and guidance to managers on a broad range of people matters. Experience of supporting employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management processes. Sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice, with experience of applying this in the workplace. Experience of coaching and supporting managers to build confidence and capability in managing people issues. Experience of building effective working relationships and influencing positive outcomes with a range of stakeholders. Ability to analyse information, identify trends and make practical recommendations to support workforce and organisational needs. Experience of handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Welsh Language level requirements
