You'll be part of a supportive Facilities team covering North West Wales, working together to deliver high standards in both hard and soft services. From monitoring health and safety compliance to assisting with maintenance and contractor coordination, your role is key to ensuring our sites remain operational, welcoming, and legally compliant. Driving is essential to this role as you will need to travel regularly among sites using electric vehicles. Therefore you must hold a full and current UK driving license.

What you will do:

  • Provide a safe and healthy working environment for NRW staff, customers and contractors.
  • Provide excellent frontline customer service and foster a culture of continuous improvement in delivering services.
  • Undertake health and safety duties and responsibilities appropriate to the post.
  • Be committed to Natural Resources Wales Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy, together with an understanding of how it operates within the responsibilities of the post.
  • Be committed to your own development through the effective use of your personal development plan (known as Sgwrs).
  • Required to take part in incident response activities.
  • Any other reasonable duties requested commensurate with the grade of this role.

Your qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills:

  • Level 3 qualification in Facilities Management or similar (desirable), with good knowledge of health and safety legislation, particularly the Health & Safety at Work Act.
  • Experience delivering facilities management services within a shared service environment or similar, including the use of ICT systems, software applications, and accurate data entry.
  • Experience supporting the management of small-scale building repairs and maintenance works, including contractor management.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to work under pressure, use initiative, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Welsh Language level requirements: Essential: Level A1 - Entry level.

Please note if you do not meet the A1 requirement, i.e., ability to understand basic phrases and ability to pronounce Welsh names correctly, then NRW offers a variety of learning options and staff support to help you meet these minimal requirements during the course of your employment with us.

  • 28 days annual leave, rising to 33 days.
  • Generous leave entitlements for all your life needs.
  • Commitment to professional development.
  • Health and wellbeing benefits and support.
  • Weekly wellbeing hour to use as you choose.
