The role
This influential new role sits within the Business Relationship Management team and focuses on providing high-level expertise across Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) projects to ensure project proposals are viable and aligned to organisational wellbeing and business objectives.
The position plays a strategic and influential role, helping shape Business Groups’ digital direction by:
- Developing and delivering simple to complex project proposals
- Supporting and enhancing existing systems and deployments
- Identifying and guiding future digital projects
A key responsibility is to translate organisational strategies (digital, recovery, and knowledge management) into practical project opportunities for the Digital Design Authority.
The role primarily involves:
- Engaging senior stakeholders and external partners (e.g. Microsoft)
- Analysing external technology roadmaps and aligning them with project bids to support organisational needs
- Influencing internal DDaT programmes and long-term planning
The role operates within the ITIL framework, ensuring adherence to best practice, NRW governance, including the Digital Design Authority (DDA) & the Independent Project Assurance Group IPAG) and continuous improvement.
Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential, and Welsh language fluency is required for at least one postholder to support effective relationship-building.
