The role
A three month PhD student placement to carry out a desk based quantitative review of grey seal monitoring at Skomer Marine Conservation Zone. In 2024 monitoring methods changed and resultantly the data are not comparable to that gathered before 2024. This project requires two key actions:
- A Quantitative review of long‑term vs post‑change data
- Development of a future‑proof monitoring approach
About us
The post will work with Marine Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting Team and specifically closely with the staff who carry out the monitoring at Skomer MCZ. This post will require a lot of independent working and will ideally be delivered from the start of January to the end of March 2027.
