Are you a recent graduate looking for opportunities to gain experience in the Flood Risk Management sector? If so, we have an exciting placement role available for individuals who have recently (within 18 months) gained a graduate qualification in a relevant discipline, such as environmental science, environmental management or geography.
You will have the opportunity to work in the Warning and Informing team, where you will contribute to a range of workplans focusing on delivery of our flood warning service. You will work closely with a range of internal and external customers, helping communities understand their flood risk and prepare flood plans, and assisting in our emergency response during flood events.
You will also have the opportunity to spend time in other flood risk management teams to broaden your experience. You’ll work with a passionate and supportive team, engaging directly with the public, professional partners and local resilience forums.
While largely home-based, you’ll have opportunities to collaborate in person at locations across North and Mid Wales. We offer a flexible working culture that helps you thrive personally and professionally. As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to an NRW office within the place base / location above and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.
