This role supports the organisation to operate in a more environmentally sustainable way by providing specialist advice, analysis and reporting on environmental performance. The postholder helps reduce environmental impact and carbon emissions, supports environmental audits, and maintains systems aligned with recognised environmental standards.
The role sits within a Finance & Corporate Services Directorate and works across the organisation, building strong relationships to promote good environmental practice and continuous improvement.
The post reports to the Internal Audit and Environmental Management System Manager and does not have line management responsibility. It involves flexible, mainly office-based working with the requirement to travel for in-person audits and a high degree of autonomy in managing workload and priorities.
