We are now seeking to strengthen our Inspection team with an Inspection Engineer at our Glasgow or Stirling locations. Our team leads the delivery of a suite of market leading inspection and retrofit services aimed at operational and construction projects across the renewables industry, and works with a diverse and growing client base internationally. We inspect a wide range of technologies, including onshore and offshore windfarms, solar plants and battery energy storage systems, and conduct wind turbine retrofit and upgrade campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that Natural Power and client Health & Safety policies are adhered to at all times, both personally and for the team members.
- Ensure HSEQ matters are reported in a timely manner as per company procedures.
- Current Limited Authorised Technician status or working towards LAT authorisation status under the WTSR.
- Deliver continuous high-quality installation of retrofit / upgrade projects across multi-platform turbines.
- Ability to draft and review risk assessments and method statements for project related work.
- Thorough inspection of drive‑train components using borescope.
- Lubrication sampling.
- Thorough detailed visual inspection on all electro‑mechanical systems within the wind turbine generator.
- Thorough detailed visual inspections on Solar plants and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
- Interpreting and classification of defects to relevant IEC standards, communicating findings from inspections verbally, in written reports and through an iOS / Android application.
- Preparation of detailed inspection reports for clients and internal use in a timely manner.
This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
