Position
- Evaluate potential and existing suppliers to ensure they meet quality, safety, and legal standards.
- Maintain raw material spec to a high standard to include measurable tolerances.
- Monitor supplier performance through KPI, utilise results to drive improvement.
- Support commercial/NPD teams in approving new raw materials to site.
- Training and management of the intake team to ensure checks are carried out correctly. Ensure supplier non-conformances are captured and corrective actions taken within a timely manner.
- Lead liaison to communicate and investigate non-conformities related to raw materials.
- Maintenance of seasonality calendars to identify challenging periods and mitigate potential shortfall.
- Maintenance of vulnerability assessment – communicate/mitigate risks to the business.
- Assist customer support team to build specification and answer queries relating to raw materials.
- Address customer complaints related to raw material quality.
- Strong partnership with suppliers.
Requirements
- Internal Auditing Qualification.
- Desirable: Food/agronomy related degree.
- Facilitation and negotiation skills.
- Food Safety Level 3.
- Commercially focused.
- Minimum 1 year experience working in food manufacturing.
