Working from the Museum’s Project Delivery Office, you will project manage a range of projects that deliver elements of the Natural History Museum Strategy, with a focus on temporary exhibitions and new galleries, as well as refurbishment and capital projects, and commercial initiatives, taking responsibility for projects from initial proposal through to feasibility, business case and all subsequent project stages to completion.

You will have significant experience of working in a project management role dealing with all aspects of delivering a project, including procurement and contract management, in a multidisciplinary environment, ideally within a museum or heritage organisation. You will have a project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 or APM PMQ), and experience of using a formal project management governance framework. Knowledge of temporary exhibition and structure builds, internal and external service infrastructures, site operational planning and working with statutory authorities is desirable.

We also recognise the benefits and flexibility that hybrid working brings. We operate a hybrid working model that requires regular, weekly attendance for this role, with the precise pattern of days on site and worked from home to be agreed with your manager. It is anticipated you will be required to be on site regularly (at least 3 days and at times 5 days per week) to engage with consultants, contractors and stakeholders both internally and externally. This may also include some out of hours working.
