We are looking for a Digital Performance and Growth Manager to own our paid media and acquisition strategy. This role is accountable for growth outcomes, and you will set direction, define success, interrogate performance, and ensure paid media activity supports both commercial growth and a coherent customer journey. This role sits at the intersection of performance, data analysis, campaigns, creative, and new customer experience, ensuring our agency delivers against the right objectives and that learnings are translated into action across channels and the wider marketing team.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the paid media growth strategy across multiple channels, including but not limited to Paid Search, Paid Social and Affiliates.
- Responsible for the implementation and regular review of new customer pop-ups on the website and relevant flow/triggered emails.
- Working closely with the Head of Marketing and key stakeholders to define clear objectives, KPIs and success metrics.
- Provide recommendations for channel investment priorities and budget allocation based on data-driven insights.
- Be accountable for revenue, ROAS, CAC, MER and incremental growth.
- Efficiently manage external agencies, fostering strong relationships and briefing all marketing campaign content approaches to ensure digital marketing initiatives align with overall marketing goals.
- Act as the day-to-day lead for the paid media agency.
- Set briefs, priorities and testing roadmaps.
- Challenge recommendations using commercial and customer insight.
- Ensure the agency focuses on impact, not activity.
- Lead quarterly and annual planning with the agency.
- Define hypotheses and test plans across acquisition and conversion.
- Balance scale vs efficiency based on business priorities.
- Identify growth opportunities across channels, audiences and journeys.
- Use insights to inform campaign, creative and onsite optimisation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing.
- Work closely with the Campaign Manager to translate messaging into paid execution.
- Partner with Creative to ensure assets are fit for performance channels.
- Push for structured creative testing and learning loops.
- Ensure paid media reflects brand tone and improves customer experience.
- Understand category, brand and margin dynamics within a marketplace model.
- Use performance insight to inform merchandising and campaign priorities.
- Ensure paid activity reflects stock availability and business priorities.
Measurement & Insight:
- Responsible for data analysis and insight reporting to inform paid media strategy.
- Connect platform data with analytics and CRM performance.
- Identify what is driving incremental growth vs cannibalisation.
- Own performance reporting and insight interpretation.
- Provide comprehensive weekly and monthly reports on digital KPI’s, budgets, and overall performance.
- Communicate performance clearly to senior stakeholders.
What we are looking for:
- Strong experience leading paid media via an agency (not just reporting on it).
- Deep understanding of Paid Search and Paid Social for e-commerce – with in-depth knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4), Google Ads Manager, Meta Business Suite, and their best practices.
- Experience owning growth targets and performance outcomes.
- Results-driven commercial mindset with comfort in challenging external partners.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret performance data.
- Adaptable in a fast-paced and agile e-commerce environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external partners.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with campaign, CRM, creative and organic social teams.
- Ability to work independently with autonomy.
Beneficial for the role:
- Marketplace or multi-brand e-commerce experience.
- Experience with affiliates or partner-led acquisition.
- CRO or onsite optimisation exposure.
- Understanding of attribution and incrementality concepts.
