Natta Building Company is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager with a minimum of 6 years in a similar role to join our team. You will play a key part in the successful delivery of large residential, care home, and apartment fit-out projects, including complex builds such as basements with pools. We are looking for a dedicated professional committed to quality, safety, and teamwork, with a strong track record in managing diverse construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and safe delivery of construction projects.
- Manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring work ethics, material availability, and technical consultant involvement.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and third parties to avoid delays.
- Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and ensure accurate project progress reporting.
- Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed, and maintain all records digitally.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with fire safety, Golden Thread regulations, and other construction standards.
- Oversee site safety, conduct inspections, and hold regular safety briefings.
- Assist the Project/Site Manager in resolving disputes and controlling project costs.
- Review and interpret technical drawings using CAD and other digital systems.
- Maintain a detailed site diary including labour, materials, and plant resources.
- Ensure all necessary permits and documentation are in place before work commences.
- Support site operatives with communication, training, and resource allocation.
- Deputise for the Site Manager when required.
- Deliver excellent client service aligned with company values.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 6 years as Assistant Site Manager with consistent employment history.
- Experience working on apartments, house building, nursing homes, and care home projects.
- Proven experience with large-scale residential or care home fit-out projects, including basements with pools.
- Strong knowledge of traditional brick/block and reinforced concrete frame construction.
- Expertise in internal blockwork, metal stud partitions, plastering, and high-quality finishes such as decoration, wallpaper, and carpets.
- Up-to-date knowledge of fire safety requirements and Golden Thread regulations.
- Proficiency in digital record-keeping and construction management software.
- CSCS Black Card, SMSTS certification, First Aid Training, and knowledge of Considerate Constructors Scheme.
- NVQ Level qualification in Construction Management or extensive trade experience.
- Full UK driving licence.

- Exceptional understanding of HSQE construction standards and construction contracts.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering defect-free projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, team coordination, and presentation skills.
