Overview
NATS is the UK\’s leading Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP). Every year we handle 2.6 million flights and keep 250 million passengers safe whilst in UK airspace. We provide air traffic management (ATM) services to 15 airports in the UK as well as providing these services around the world spanning Europe, Middle East, Asia, and North America. Safety is at the heart of what we do and who we are – every one of us has a part to play in ensuring operational, physical, cyber, and personal safety every day. As a corporate function our team looks at generating Safety Performance analysis for all our units – developing and maintaining Dashboards, identifying and monitoring trends, configuring and delivering improvements to our reporting tools as well as generating company safety reports.
What will the DEG Scheme involve?
This 2-year programme will be based at our Head Office in Whiteley or in our Air Traffic Control Centre in Swanwick; we have adopted \’agile working\’ which will enable you, where possible, to have the opportunity and flexibility to work in our modern office facilities as well as at home. Working in Safety Transformation provides a fantastic career opportunity to develop safety and analytics related skills while working in a multi-disciplinary environment. It will provide the opportunity to be part of a team leading the integration of new airspace users into UK airspace, in collaboration with colleagues in NATS, with government, industry and other ANSPs around the world.
Typically, you will be involved in:
- Identification of business risks and opportunities
- Creation of market intelligence through horizon scanning of market trends
- Support the team\’s understanding and influence of international regulation and policies
- Support the setting of strategy for internal developmental activities, including Research & Development
