The Learning Specialist works alongside HR colleagues to design and deliver engaging and creative learning solutions across a variety of roles. You will be customer facing, delivering high-quality content to staff at all levels and disciplines within NATS.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Support with assessing learning and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups and communication with leaders, managers, and colleagues.
  • Develop unique learning interventions to fulfil specific needs to maintain or improve skills and culture which both engages learners and caters for a variety of learning styles.
  • Co‑facilitate learning and development sessions using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, virtually and in person.
  • Design and facilitate "train-the-trainer" and/or handover activities to ensure successful transference for delivery, providing coaching and support through the process.
  • Implement and manage metrics and performance criteria for learning solutions.
  • Apply different evaluation methodologies, in order to conduct internal and external evaluation of projects using an appropriate model.
  • Create and/or acquire learning guides, digital content and workshop materials.
  • Assess, evaluate, and update learning material.
  • Deliver all projects successfully within budget, on time and in line with expectations and in accordance with the project brief.
  • Ensure project communication is effective, efficient and on‑brand.
  • Maintain an enhanced knowledge of learning trends, analysis, design and development, and proactively share findings to ensure best practice within Learning & Development.

Qualifications:

  • Applied knowledge of HR policies and procedures is desirable together with previous experience working in an HR function, as well as experience facilitating in a corporate environment.
  • A commitment to providing a high standard – a formal qualification in HR would be desirable (e.g., CIPD), but not essential.
  • Any experience working with Insights Discovery is highly advantageous.
  • Passionate about learning and the need to provide professional design and development of training.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
