Job Purpose/Overview:

We are currently looking to recruit an Administrator Purchase Ledger to work as part of our Finance division, reporting directly to the Manager Purchase Ledger. The purpose of the role is to provide administrative and information support across all Purchase Ledger activities, whilst ensuring that NATS suppliers are paid accurately, on time and in accordance with NATS purchase to pay policy and procedures.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has great interpersonal skills, is highly organised and is excited and ambitious to develop their skills in a fast paced organisation.

Duties include:

  • Process supplier invoices and credit notes ensuring NATS purchase to pay policy and controls are followed at all times and without exception to ensure NATS is not exposed to commercial risk.
  • Proactively pursue the appropriate authorisation for payment of invoices, ensuring unapproved invoices are recorded on the Purchase Ledger. Deal effectively with supplier and payment queries.
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Maintain supplier master records to ensure NATS holds correct and current payment details at all times.
  • Develop strong working relationships with suppliers and NATS business areas, working collaboratively to achieve NATS common objectives.
  • Support the requirements of internal and external audits. Ensure good record keeping and adhere to NATS policy and procedures and departmental processes and controls, at all times.
  • Administration of the Purchase Card system in accordance with policy and procedures, providing frontline support to NATS Purchase Cardholders.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of working in Purchase Ledger or similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel is essential.
  • Experience of working with SAP is preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A strong team player, prepared to address problems proactively and contribute to the development and success of a high-performance team.
  • Highly motivated and able to prioritise work effectively to ensure key deadlines are met.
  • Adaptable and able to work effectively in a changeable environment with a willingness to participate in the development and implementation of organisational, process and system changes.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail and organisation skills.
