Cover Letter Required Job Purpose/Overview This role is seeking a Service Owner accountable for the delivery of our Communication and Navigation Technical Domain. The domain comprises our key voice transmission, and receiver infrastructure alongside remote navigation equipment with tools utilised by air traffic control. The Service Owner is accountable for the performance envelope, finance, risk, and future strategic direction. The post holder will also have financial responsibility for the area that shall be managed within the overall financial envelope. Cover Letter Required Job Purpose/Overview This role is seeking a Service Owner accountable for the delivery of our Communication and Navigation Technical Domain. The domain comprises our key voice transmission, and receiver infrastructure alongside remote navigation equipment with tools utilised by air traffic control. The Service Owner is accountable for the performance envelope, finance, risk, and future strategic direction. The post holder will also have financial responsibility for the area that shall be managed within the overall financial envelope. Other Duties Include Maintaining a 10 year vision, road map and success of the service, aligning with our Technical Goals. Maintaining the long-term P&L for the service; developing and presenting the operating budget for the services in scope and, upon final budget approval, manage within agreed variances. Throughout the service lifecycle, analyse and coordinate relationships with and between stakeholders. The stewardship of requirements across the whole service lifecycle and ensuring that these are aligned to stakeholder need. Responsible for negotiating requirements with suppliers, including service and operational level agreements (SLA’s & OLAs) relating to the service. Steward of benefits realisation aligned to service investments Conducting monthly Service Reviews to continuously monitor, record and improve service performance. Successful management of the service – meeting KPI’s for all stakeholders. Key interface to related roles in NATS: e.g, Service Design, Service Delivery Manager. Essentials Skills and Experience Adopts a leadership mind-set, focused on the continual improvement of the service designed to fit a market need whilst balancing all stakeholder requirements Is comfortable operating under circumstances where there is a high degree of uncertainty A proven track record of balancing risk with reward Good honours degree or equivalent of knowledge acquired through experience, other qualifications and training/development An accomplished and respected leader with well-developed communication, influencing and negotiation skills in a complex organisation Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams across a service lifecycle and through a matrix-based organisation Career record of leading successful business change programmes Experience of leading regular road mapping exercises, engaging all key stakeholders to build a clear way forward for the service Experience managed service contract requirements & negotiation Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to influence at all levels Good understanding of the NATS operating environment and our strategic intent / objectives Budgetary responsibilities of £5m+ Additional Vacancy Information We are proud to offer a fantastic total reward package to help you thrive both personally and professionally – for more information on what NATS can offer you please visit Why NATS?
