Natoora started 20 years ago with a very simple, yet powerful goal to find incredible flavour in fresh produce. Today, our dedication to this mission has grown into an impactful network of over 500 independent growers spanning nine sourcing hubs across three continents. We work with hundreds of kitchens and some of the most exciting and influential chefs in London, New York, Miami, Copenhagen, Paris, and Melbourne. However, our commitment to creating a better food system also extends beyond professional kitchens to a strong community of home consumers across the US and the UK. On the way, we have been named a Sunday Times Fast Track 100 Company, appeared on the Financial Times’ list of Europe’s fastest-growing companies, and proudly received a GQ Food & Drinks Sustainability Award.
Natoora is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to drive our wholesale growth and develop a new business strategy across the industry within the region. You will be responsible for managing the New Business team, focusing on key growth areas and working closely alongside our Sales Team Manager to deliver sustainable growth with impact. Reporting directly into our UK MD, we are looking for someone who is keen to share our commitment to fixing the food system with the wider hospitality industry, hungry for sales, hands-on and excited to work towards ambitious growth targets. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for both produce and hospitality, and a talent for building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships.
Your responsibilities:
- Identify an achievable pipeline and secure new business within core sectors such as restaurants, hotels and caterers.
- Lead and motivate the New Business team.
- Manage, and later define, the roadmap for New Business and coordinate across departments to maximise growth.
- Work on KPI’s and set clear, achievable targets to ensure sustainable growth.
- Use data to analyse the success of strategies and further drive performance.
- Work with the Brand team to plan and coordinate strategy and partnerships to reflect the company's goals.
- Ensure any problems that arise are dealt with smoothly and promptly by the appropriate teams.
- Work closely with Buying, Sales and Operations to ensure that KPIs are being met.
- Collaborate with the Account Management team to build efficiencies and share experience.
About you:
- You will have excellent knowledge of the UK Hospitality industry across all sectors, from independent restaurants to the hotel sector.
- At least two years in a comparable role with previous experience in a business development role.
- In-depth knowledge of how procurement works within contract catering and hotels.
- Motivated by driving sales and delivering growth.
- Proactive, problem-solving and calm under pressure.
- Able to communicate and work across departments.
- Excellent, professional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to analyse both financial and sales data and use that to inform targets and deliver sales results.
- Well organised and able to work to deadlines.
- Proficient use of Excel is essential, and experience with both Tableau, or a similar tool, and a CRM system would be desirable.
Perks:
- Natoora produce at a significant discount.
- Your birthday off (once you’ve hit the 6-month mark).
- Lunch made with the same seasonal produce we supply to chefs.
- Kitchen stocked by our own growers and producers.
