About the role
Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role would suit a seasoned professional who would enjoy the challenge of joining a fast-growing business. Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the regional accounting team in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Analyse monthly P&Ls and KPIs to support, challenge, and provide insights to business stakeholders.
- Oversee successful year-end processes across all entities, including audits.
- Assist the VP of Finance in developing and enhancing internal financial systems and controls.
- Ensure compliance and timely submission of tax filings across the UK and international entities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes in coordination with senior management.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.
About you
- Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ACA, ICAEW) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' industry experience in a Management Accounts, Financial Controller, or similar position.
- Thorough knowledge of UK GAAP; US GAAP experience is a strong plus.
- Proven experience in inventory-based businesses or product-focused industries.
- Strong understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Highly proficient in Excel.
- Experience with accounting software; SAGE Intacct is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with Sage 50 and QuickBooks also beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Calm under pressure, organised, and able to meet tight deadlines with a positive, collaborative attitude.
- Additional language skills (French, Italian, or Spanish) are advantageous.
