Role: Product Owner – Insurance Brokerage

Location: London (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in insurance brokerage to drive the design, development, and delivery of innovative digital solutions. The ideal candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring products align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer needs within the insurance domain.

Responsibilities

  • Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog for insurance brokerage platforms (e.g., policy administration, quoting, claims, renewals, compliance).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, brokers, underwriters, and IT teams to translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead product roadmap planning and align with organizational goals, regulatory frameworks, and market demands.
  • Ensure digital solutions enhance broker efficiency, customer experience, and operational effectiveness.
  • Conduct workshops, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews with Agile teams.
  • Perform impact analysis of regulatory changes (e.g., FCA requirements, GDPR, data security) on insurance brokerage processes and systems.
  • Analyze data and customer feedback to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities for product improvements.
  • Partner with UX/UI teams to deliver intuitive broker and customer experiences across web and mobile platforms.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business units, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst within the insurance brokerage or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of insurance brokerage workflows: quoting, underwriting, policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and claims.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with distributed teams.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements within the insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Power BI, or Figma is a plus.
