Overview

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to join a cross-functional Agile team and drive the delivery of high-quality digital products. The ideal candidate will act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and the delivery team, ensuring maximum value is delivered.

Job Title: Product Owner

Location: London / Glasgow

Contract: 9 months

Job Type: Hybrid – 2 days onsite

Experience: 7+ years preferred

Employment Type: Contract / Permanent

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined, prioritised, and aligned with business goals
• Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into clear user stories with acceptance criteria
• Work closely with stakeholders, business users, and development teams to define product vision and roadmap
• Participate in Sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives
• Ensure delivered features meet business expectations and quality standards
• Make informed decisions on scope, priority, and trade-offs to maximise value
• Support UAT and product releases

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience working as a Product Owner in Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Proven ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar

Certifications / Preferences

• Domain experience in Banking/Financial Services (preferred)
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification
