Job Details

Role Title: Production Applications / L2 Support Engineer

Work Arrangement: Work from office – 3 days a week (Tues/Wed/Thurs)

Contract Duration: 6+ months

Location: London

Note: Candidates must be flexible with weekend shift rotations, compensated via time off in lieu.

Required Core Skills: Java and Database (DB)

Nice to Have: Splunk

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Support projects and work during rotational weekend shifts.
  • Analyze Java code and SQL queries, support or develop related tasks.
  • Use Splunk for querying, regex, alerts, dashboards (no admin skills needed).
  • Analyze application logs to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Manage tickets and incidents, following ITIL practices.
  • Proactively identify and notify team about ongoing or potential issues.
  • Meet client SLAs and manage deliverables with business users.
  • Collaborate with Dev/L3 teams on incidents, releases, and improvements.
  • Handle major incidents, conduct post-mortems, and ensure resolution.
