We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler Lead to join a high-impact data transformation initiative within the Insurance domain. This role will focus on modernizing enterprise data models by transitioning from SQL Server to Snowflake, enabling scalable analytics and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and understand existing customer data and analytics models on SQL Server
- Design and lead development of optimized data models on Snowflake
- Work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate reporting and analytics requirements into scalable data structures
- Drive best practices in dimensional modeling, normalization, metadata management, and data governance
- Lead architecture reviews, identify data model gaps, and recommend improvements
- Mentor junior data modelers and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing
- Ensure data models align with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and performance needs
- 10+ years overall experience, with 5+ years in data modeling and database design
- Strong expertise in SQL Server and Snowflake data modeling
- Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and validation
- Solid understanding of data architecture principles and data governance
- Proven experience in the Insurance domain (London Market, Specialized Insurance, Regulatory Data)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with ETL tools and data integration
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud data platforms
- Exposure to Fivetran, SSIS, or advanced Snowflake features
Work Mode Hybrid: 2β3 days working from client office (London) on need basis.
