Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Migration Expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal
candidate will have extensive experience in migrating data center operations to Amazon Web
Services (AWS) cloud. This role involves assessing the company\’s current data center setup,
strategizing a migration plan, executing the migration process, and ensuring the new cloud
system functions optimally. The candidate should be well-versed in AWS cloud services, have a
deep understanding of cloud computing technology, and possess strong problem-solving skills to
troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the migration process.
Responsibilities
Plan, design, and execute the migration of applications, data, and infrastructure from DC to AWS
Cloud.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migration and minimal disruption
to business operations.
Monitor and optimize the performance of the migrated systems to ensure they meet business
requirements and SLAs.
Document the migration process, including any issues encountered and their resolutions, to
facilitate future migrations and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
Proficient in AWS cloud services and DC (Data Center) operations.
Strong experience in cloud migration strategies, planning, and execution.
Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
The candidate must have a Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a
related field. AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certification is highly preferred.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Jenkins, Git, Ansible.
Understanding of network architectures, including load balancing and network firewalls.
Experience with database migration, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments.
Experience with cloud monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Datadog.
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
