ROLE PURPOSE

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the development and application of MARCOM's Wargaming, Modelling and Simulation (W,M&S) capability to enhance our mission readiness.

OVERVIEW

This is a fixed-term 3-year role based in the Plans Directorate working with stakeholders across the organisation to activate W,M&S capability and support operational planning.

AREAS OF FOCUS & TARGET OUTCOMES

Capability Application

MARCOM has a clear understanding of wargaming requirements and is employing the relevant tools, processes and procedures to enhance operational readiness.

Capability Development

MARCOM is an active participant in, and early adopter of innovations in ACO's wargaming, modelling and simulation practice, contributing to the development of pan-NATO doctrine and policy

Operations planning support

Operational Planning is strengthened through a closed-loop process which incorporates insights and learning from wargaming, modelling and simulation.

Your Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• At least one year's experience of planning and conducting military wargames in a national or NATO context.
• Proven experience of military modelling, simulation and wargaming together withexpertiseon computer systems and related applications.
• Provenexperience in employing of wargaming and M&S computer tools.

Desirable

• Experience in NATO or National/internationalorganisations related to Wargaming and / or M&S.
• Experience of working in a NATO or national military HQ.
• Background in NATO operations planning with experience in the military environment
