Overview
In this fixed-term role, you will lead the development and application of HQ MARCOM’s Wargaming, Modelling and Simulation capability to boost readiness. You will work with stakeholders across the organisation to activate W&M&S and support operational planning. You will help integrate insights from wargaming into planning processes, contributing to pan-NATO doctrine and policy. This is an opportunity to shape maritime readiness within a multinational, security-focused setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and application of Wargaming, Modelling and Simulation capability for mission readiness
- Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to activate W&M&S tools, processes and procedures
- Support operational planning through a closed-loop process that incorporates W&M&S insights
- Contribute to the development of pan-NATO doctrine and policy through W&M&S innovations
- Participate in early adoption of best practices in W&M&S within NATO contexts
- Collaborate with multi-national teams to align W&M&S efforts with operational planning
- Support capability capability development and ensure W&M&S contributes to readiness
- Provide analytical input to planning and decision-making using wargaming outcomes
Key requirements
- At least one year's experience planning and conducting military wargames in national or NATO contexts
- Proven experience in military modelling, simulation and wargaming with expertise on computer systems and related applications
- Proven experience employing wargaming and M&S computer tools
- Desirable: experience in NATO or international organisations related to Wargaming/M&S; experience in NATO/National HQ; background in operations planning in military environments
