About the job:
Based in Northwood, The UK you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO's Digital Endeavour. You will join CSU Northwood, which enables end-to-end CIS services as it installs, operates, maintains and supports the full range of CIS capabilities during peacetime, crisis and war throughout its allocated Area of Responsibility (AOR) and as otherwise directed.
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Principal Technician (Technical Coordination) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:
- Provides detailed and specific advice regarding the application of their specialism to the organisation's planning and operations.
- Manages the scheduling and organization of regular coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders to align Functional group Guidance and Service Area status.
- Maintains knowledge management systems and content to meet business needs.
- Supports others to enable them to complete knowledge management activities and form knowledge management habits.
- Ensures that incidents are handled according to agreed procedures.
- Prioritises and diagnoses incidents.
- Investigates problems in systems, processes and services.
- Acts as the routine contact point, receiving and handling requests for support.
- Supports Service Operations Branch Head in managing SOB resources and activities to ensure the effective and efficient development and execution of service agreements for local budget, acquisition activities and asset management.

About you:
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:
- Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 5 years post-related experience.
- ITIL-based incident and problem management.
- Proficient in troubleshooting complex system, network, or application issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
