1. Operational Excellence & Lifecycle Management (Trade Flow & Control)

  • Take hands-on ownership of the front-to-back trade lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution, excellent production quality, and robust day-to-day controls.
  • Drive accountability for day-to-day Trade Support production, fostering a high-performance culture across the entire production chain.
  • Perform first-level controls of manually booked trades at inception to ensure all trades are accurately captured for P&L and risk on trade date.
  • Partner with Front Office to assist with trade bookings when required, adhering strictly to the roles & responsibilities matrix and embedded four-eye check protocols.
  • Act as the primary gatekeeper for trade amendments and cancellations, executing amendments only under authorized Trader approval.
  • Coordinate approvals with Market Risk and Quantitative teams for non-economic amendments, subsequently executing and reporting impacts to traders.

2. Risk Mitigation & Advisory (Control & Compliance)

  • Act as the first line of defence, proactively identifying, escalating, and mitigating operational and financial risks.
  • Proactively design, propose, and reinforce ad-hoc controls and reconciliations across products to minimize operational risk.
  • Maintain a deep, end-to-end understanding of complex trade lifecycles, transaction structures, associated hedging, and risk representations.
  • Deliver critical ad-hoc reporting and serve as the main point of contact for inquiries from transversal control functions.

3. Stakeholder Management & Relationship Building (Collaboration & Communication)

  • Serve as the vital connective tissue between the Front Office and downstream departments, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Build trusted, high-impact relationships with Front Office Traders and Sales, delivering a premium level of service while upholding internal frameworks and policies.
  • Champion efficient, transparent communication across the entire post-trade ecosystem, coordinating seamlessly between FO, Product Control, Middle Office, and Back Office.
  • Liaise closely with Head Office-based Trade Support to absorb specialized knowledge and successfully establish and document London desk-specific processes.

4. Lifecycle Events, Innovation & Change (Agility & Evolution)

  • Manage complex portfolio events and contribute to the evolution of the business through agile problem-solving.
  • Oversee critical portfolio lifecycle events impacting internal and external positions.
  • Manage post-trade lifecycle calculations and manual bookings.
  • Support new business initiatives and product line rollouts using agile problem-solving skills to design and implement robust operational solutions.
  • Continuously strive for operational excellence and efficiency, seeking opportunities to optimize processes where possible.
