Experienced Master Agreement negotiator based in London, reporting to Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff of Natixis UK and to the Global Head of Master Agreement Negotiations of Natixis CIB in Paris, closely connected to Global Markets Business Line as well as to the Legal department of Natixis CIB.
Master Agreements in scope for this temporary support: English language, plain vanilla master agreements such as ISDA, CSA (VM and IM), CDEA, GMRA, GMSLA
Main Responsibilities
Main Activities
- Capacity and authority checks
- Close-out netting and collateral legal opinions checks
- Drafting, negotiation and execution of a portfolio of Master Agreements, with excellent intensity (between 50 and 60 cases)
- Review of clients’ comments in a short period of time, and early send-out of deviation requests to internal stakeholders
- KPI monitoring, to respect the time and volume ambitions of Natixis CIB
Main Internal & External Relations
- Diversity of clients (corporates, credit institutions, asset managers, hedge funds, insurance companies etc.)
- Internal clients: Front Office Sales, Bankers
- Internal stakeholders worldwide (including Front Office, risk department, tax, compliance, operational team, collateral management team)
Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Proven years of experience in negotiating ISDA, CSA (VM, IM), CDEA, GMRA, GMSLA
- Experienced in new contracts and amendments, detailed knowledge on netting & collateral rules and legal opinions, capacity, authority and authority checks, review of legal opinions and support documents
- Good knowledge of the regulatory framework around Master Agreements (including EMIR, UK EMIR, MIFID, BRRD etc.)
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills including accurate record-keeping
- Focused on best time-to-client, solution-finding, and results-driven
- Excellent work organization
- Excellent accountability, ownership, anticipation and respect of KPI targets
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, team player regionally and globally
- Resilient, able to prioritize and work under pressure, self-motivated, independent.
