Following in house proximity development lifecycle comprising the following steps:
- User needs collection and anticipation.
- Analysis of these needs and definition of the required specifications.
- Multiple solutions proposal: where applicable, provide the sponsors with studies comparing the different options and solutions to facilitate strategic decision making.
- Implementation and delivery of retained solutions.
- Support and documentation.
- Bug tracking, continuous software evolution.
- Contribute to technical design and quality regarding architecture, technologies and IT solutions.
- Analysis, problem solving and escalation.
- As part of the global proximity development team, transpose and follow its software development standard, methodologies and procedures.
- Work directly with CM Quants, MOA, MOE and other relevant teams.
- Carry out training and skills assessments at regular intervals.
- Follow the branch compliance rules.
What we need from you:
- Strong experience in C#/.NET development, including WPF or similar desktop UI technologies.
- Proven experience supporting business-critical applications in a production Front Office environment.
- Good understanding of financial markets and financial derivatives (e.g., options pricing, Greeks, and curve construction concepts).
- Knowledge on Commodities markets and products is a plus.
Business experience — required:
- Development & maintenance of IT systems.
- Understanding of derivatives.
- Exposure to front-office.
- Experience in managing frontline support for pre-trade tools.
- Commodities trading business knowledge (Preferred).
Technical skills — required: (min 5 years):
- .NET C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, WPF, Angular.
- Familiarity with market data (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters) and building service-based APIs.
- Databases SQL Server, MongoDB.
- Containerisation, Micro-services.
- Visual Studio (Microsoft), JetBrain Rider.
Personal skills — required:
- Strong interest in the global markets business.

The role combines hands-on development and critical production support, with a focus on delivering robust and pragmatic solutions in a fast-paced environment. The team contributes in designing and implementing a resilient, efficient and scalable Information System for Commodities Markets (CM), in close cooperation with other relevant IT, business and operational teams in London and worldwide. As part of the CM IT department, the team follows its governance.
